        Stanly is a very aggressive and violent person and he could end up hitting Stella and cause her to lose her baby.  Stanly is very aggressive because during the poker game after he trough the radio out the window in the play “Stanly takes after Stella, who retreats behind the door, men quickly follow to pull him off”(40). This quote proves how aggressive and violent Stanly can really be that he was able to hit his own wife. I believe that because Stanly is so aggressive and has an uncontrollable temper I think that he could end up beating his wife so badly that she can even lose the baby that they are both expecting.  After everyone had stopped Stanly from hitting his wife Blanche said “my sisters going to have a baby!” (40). What this quote demonstrates is how Blanche was worried about her sisters and the baby she was expecting after being physically abused by her husband.  She knows that physical violence could cause her to lose the child Stanly and Stella were expecting.  Stanly can be very dangerous to both Stella and the baby they are expecting because he can end up hitting Stella once again and maybe the next time their will be no one their to stop him.

     Stella has a very forgiven heart because after Stanly had beaten her she still decided to give him another chance and forgive him even though she was very scared and decided to go back with him.  Blanche said “she ran down stairs and went back in their with him” (42). This quote proves how even after Stella was hit by her husband she still decided to return back with Stanly. This also shows that Stella loves Stanly because he was also able to forgive him even though what he did should’ve never been forgiven.

What is art part II

         The artist of the painting Landscape at La Ciotat was Georges Braque who was born in France on May 13^th 1882 and died on august 31^st 1963. He was also part of the development of the cubism along with Pablo Picasso. In the 1900 Braque had moved to Paris to continue his studies. While he was living in Paris he became inspired with the work of many artists such as Matisse, Derain, Dufy and Cézanne. 

       Just as in the painting La Ciotat, George’s has a few other paintings of other landscapes which were also painted with many bright colors some of these portraits are The Large Trees, and Road near L Estaque. The portrait La Ciotat was finished in the summer of 1907 and it’s about 28 1/4 x 23 3/8" (71.7 x 59.4 cm.)  In the summer of 1907 Georges Braque was working in the resort town of La Ciotat in France were he painted the Landscape at La Ciotat while “using heavy outlines, flattened space, and intense, harmonic colors.”

     I believe that the reason why he used such bright colors in his landscape was because of his perspective of nature. I think that His point of view of nature was that nature is beautiful, bright and full of life. It could even be that the portrait of this landscape was an imitation of how the resort of La Ciotat appeared to him.

What is art?

I believe that art is how we express ourselves by using our creativity and imagination to create paintings, sculptures, and even music. What makes a work of art is when we use our creativity or imagination to either imitate or create our own pictures, paintings, portraits, sculptures, or music. Art is anything that we can create through our imagination and creativity using our skills, perspective, and our emotions to make something that we believe is beautiful and meaningful to us.

       For a very long time in my life I have been passionate about one specific goal.  That goal has been to open up my own music academy in the Dominican Republic. This goal has been very important to me since the first day I discovered my passion for music. I know that I am also going to face many challenges trying to achieve my goal, and that it’s going to take several steps for me to get there. When I turned 14 years old my parents got me my very first guitar. At first I did not know how to play it or tune it and I had never taken music lessons in my life before. I always wanted to play an instrument but I never had the chance to take music lessons because they were very expensive. A few weeks after I had first gotten my guitar I had a cousin who lived very closed by and she always use to come down to visit. When she saw my guitar she had asked me if she could play it. At that time I had no idea my cousin Lourdes was able to play guitar and sing as well. From that day I was inspired to learn how to play as good as she did someday.

        

    A year later after I had learned to play guitar I started to look for a music school were I would be able to take lessons. After I took a few lessons the owner of the store told me I was really advanced especially for someone who had learned on his own and had only a year playing guitar. He asked if I would help him give lessons at least two hours a day for five days a week. I took the offer and a few months later I became a music instructor in his school. I worked for him for two years in a half and I enjoyed working with my students and the other instructors in the school. From that moment on I had decided that someday I would open up a music academy of my own. This goal became really important to me, I wanted to share my passion for music with others and be able to teach them what I had learned through my years of experience. This goal was meaningful to me because when I was growing up in the Dominican Republic I always wanted to learn how to play a music instrument especially the guitar but I did not have the opportunity till I got to the United States because the price for music lessons in my country was ridiculously high and my parents could not afford it.

       Every goal we try to accomplish in life has many challenges. One of the challenges I may face trying to open up a music academy in the Dominican Republic is financial problems because opening a music academy is like starting my own business. I am going to have to find a good location where I would want to open up my music school. This will coast me a lot of money and if my music school is not successful I will have to close it down which would mean I would have wasted a lot of time and money. Another challenge I would face will be attracting customers to my music academy. I have to make sure that my school looks appealing to others and that I attract many students into my school.

  

       There are certain steps I have to take in order to achieve my goal and open up a successful music academy in my country. One of the steps I have to take after I have opened my music academy is advertising my music school. I can advertise my school by passing out flyers, cards or even on television. I can also advertise my school by going out and preforming and giving demonstrations of what I would be doing and teaching in my school.

    Everyone has a goal that they want to accomplish. My goal is to someday open up a very successful music school in the Dominican Republic were I will be able to teach and share my passion with everyone who is interested in music and learning to play and instrument. I will face many challenges while trying to achieve my goal such as financial issues and making sure that my academy is always successful. I am also going to have to take certain steps in order to be able to run a successful music academy such as advertising my school and making sure I do a really great job at teaching my students what they want to learn.
